Equity board to meet new Labour Party leader
Equity’s Auckland-based board members will meet David Shearer and the Labour Party’s Arts and Culture MP, Charles Chauvel on March 26. Equity called for a meeting with the new Labour leader last year to discuss ways in which we can work together. We are also working with Labour Party MP Darien Fenton on raising our concerns about changes to the immigration procedures which allow overseas producers to import actors to work for up to 14 days in New Zealand, without conducting local casting exercises first.
